Ruth Jane Cranston Robeck died on New Year’s Day, 2014, at Sugar Land Health Care Center, Sugar Land, Texas. Jane was born in 1920 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Raymond Joseph Cranston and Ruth (Crites) Cranston. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Raymond Joseph Cranston Jr., her son and only child Guy Scott Warren III, and third husband Larry Robeck. She is survived by her nephew Raymond Joseph Cranston III, wife Patricia Cranston, great-niece Seana Cranston and great-nephew Ryan Cranston.
Jane grew up in Detroit, Michigan graduating from Redford High School. She started her career as a secretary in advertising in Detroit and then moved to Los Angeles, California where she had numerous secretarial jobs in Hollywood. One particular job was as a secretary to “The Singing Cowboy” Gene Autry. Her last position was secretarial work at the headquarters of Merle Norman Cosmetics in Los Angeles. Jane moved to the Houston area in 2006.
Jane will be interred at Carmen Nelson Bostick Historic Cemetery, Tomball, Texas.
