In Memory of
Rosa C. Huerta
-

Rosa C. Huerta, 54, born November 14, 1957, child of God, beloved mother, sister, and friend finished her journey here and entered into the glories of heaven, her final destination, on March 1, 2012.

Rosa’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She was a Christian woman and a loving and caring individual. Her faith and dedication were reflected in her daily life in all that she did and in the lives of those she touched. She dedicated herself to working as a volunteer at Copperfield Church, caring for the toddlers during the Sunday morning service and visiting with juveniles at the Hockley Juvenile Center. Her dedication also extended to serving as a bulletin angel, assisting with Trunk or Treat, Awanas, and Angels in Action. She will be greatly missed.

Rosa is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Huerta; Leticia Huerta and fiancée Doug Baylis; grandson Michael Munoz; father Lucio Cortez; sisters Consuelo Paz (widow of Eristeo Paz), Minnie Cortez, Josie Hernandez and husband Juan Hernandez, Eva C. Servin, Luisa Cortez and Guadalupe Cortez.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 5, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Copperfield Church, 8350 Highway 6 North, Houston, Texas. Funeral service is at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Copperfield Church with burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

Rosa and I worked together since the 1980's but it has only been in the last 10 years or so that we also became friends. Rosa was a perfectionist and she expected you to be one as well. There was only one way that she wanted you to turn in your payroll data.....it had to be accurate. Well, that's not exactly true because she also expected it to be on time! I saw through the toughness that she sometimes portrayed and found a very caring, honest, religous and faithful friend. Rosa, I know that you are at peace now and that is what comforts me.

My mom was my best friend when she left this earth to be with our lord. I miss her so much. But I know that she sees us and is proud. I love you mom
