In Memory of
Salvatore Giaimis

Sugar Land — Salvatore Giaimis, age 88, died of natural causes on January 20, 2021 at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital.

Mr. Giaimis was married to his beloved wife, Yvette, for 20 years and who predeceased him.  He is survived by his adoring sons, Ronald (Terry) and Alan (Laurie) as well as five grandchildren (Marissa, Angela, Dominic, Joseph and Michael) who he indulged and doted on constantly. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren (Gabriel, Emilia, Olivia & Anthony) who he worshiped.

Sal was a proud veteran of the Korean War, where he served honorably in the 7th infantry. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him, as friends and family will attest. He grew up in Mount Vernon, New York, one of three children of Dominick & Elizabeth Giaimis.  He worked as a laborer foreman for Allied Aviation Services until his retirement in 1995.  He loved vacationing and building cabins in Canada with his wife and children.

A graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in New Rochelle where he will be laid to everlasting rest with his wife Yvette.
