Tak-Yeung Chan was born on November 18, 1914, and peacefully returned to the bosom of the Heavenly Father on May 22, 2009 with his wife Shirley by his side. Preceded in death by his father, Yong-Sin Chan, mother Hak-Kar Tse, wife, Wai-Sum Wong and son Yuet-Ming Chan. He is survived by wife Shirley, daughters, Woon-Yu Chan and husband, Yuet-Man Chan and husband, daughter-in law, Pui-Pui Chan, 4 grandsons, 4 grand daughters, 1 grand son-in-law, 2 grand daughter-in-laws and 3 great grand daughters.
He was a kind step dad/grandpa to stepdaughter, Esther Cheng, stepson, Daniel Chan; step granddaughter, Sheila Cheng and husband, David Boles, step grandson, Perry Cheng and step great grandson, Graham Boles.
He was in management position of an import and export business in Hong Kong from 1949 to 1999. During his working years, he was well loved by his subordinates. He was good to all who came to know him and made many dear friends over the years. He retired and moved to Houston with wife, Shirley in 1999.
We will all miss him.
Graveside memorial service will be held for family and close friends @10AM on May 26, 2009 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
