Ilouise (Lou) Jones, born in Corpus Christi, TX on Dec. 30, 1935, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 15, 2007 in Houston, TX. She was a long time travel agent, having worked for Sanborn’s Travel Service, Atlas Travel and AAA Travel, and leaves behind many treasured friendships. Those who knew her will find comfort in their memories of her. Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Seaside Memorial Park (4357 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412).
Survivors include dear friends, Karin & Loren Selleck (Karin worked with Lou in the mid- 70s and their friendship turned into family as they often referred to each other as “Little Sis”. Lou spent many Christmases with the Selleck family and became known to their children and grandchildren as “Aunt Lou”), Ed Shipe (Also a long-time and most cherished friend, they met when both were working at Atlas travel. Ed remained a loyal friend and caregiver and not many days went by that they did not see each other.), and Amy Ridenhour (Loyal friend and ex-roommate, Lou & Amy remained close even though Amy was in Corpus and Lou was in Houston.)
