Louis Casassa, Jr.

Louis Casassa Jr, 67, passed away on April 1, 2024, at his home in Sealy, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on February 16, 1957, in Houston, Texas to Louis Casassa Sr. and Betty Marie (Salter) Casassa as the third of four children.  

Louis graduated from John H. Reagan High School in the Heights.  Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he achieved the rank of Sergeant.  After his service Louis worked at Automated Security Systems in Rosenberg, Texas. He was a lifelong member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Louis is survived by his brother, Joe Casassa II & Ardis Pieper of Needville, Texas, sisters Eugenia (Jennie) Marie Geary & husband Michael of Sealy, Texas and Betty Lou Krolczyk Michalek & husband James of Richmond, Texas; two nephews, Matthew Casassa & wife Laura of Needville, Texas and Marcus Casassa & wife Trinity of Brenham, Texas; six great nieces, Courtney Nicole and Casey Noelle Cobb, Alyssa Paige, Ava Marie, Adaline Faye and Madison Ruthanne Casassa.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Gio & Eugenia Casassa and Anne Cooper; nephew, Roy Lee Cobb Jr; brother-in-law Larry Krolczyk.

Services will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 S. 4th St., Richmond, Texas 77469.  Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am, and the funeral mass will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow at 1:30 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas 77023.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in his name to M D Anderson Cancer Research or Compassion International of Colorado Springs, Co.
