Peggy Diann (Goaldman) Coulter born on April 29, 1934 in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother passed away May 23, 2009 with her daughter by her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Jessie Marie Goaldman, Sister Betty Marie Baker and beloved oldest son Anthony Scott Allen. She is survived by 2 living children, son Kenneth Wayne Allen & wife Stephanie Denise Allen. Daughter Robin Diann Elliott & husband Brett Laine Elliott. 3 Grandchildren, Kevin Roy Allen & wife Joy, Lynda Marie Allen, Megan Denise Allen. 1 great-granddaughter, Skye Marie Allen with another great-grandchild due in December 2009.

One of her gifts that she leaves to her family is her love of animals, before having her oldest son Anthony she dreamed of being a vet. Her love for animals never left her and that love was passed on to her children.

She loved the Lord and knew that one day she would be home.
Her daughter Robin was blessed to be able to hold and kiss her mother as she passed to the lord, with tears and a heavy heart the journey ended only to be re-joined with her son and family that passed before her, with eternal love we send her home to the lord.
Rest well Mom, you will always be in our thoughts. Until we see one another again, I hold you always, in my heart.

You held me when I came into the world,
I held you as you left.

*A garden memorial will be held at her daughter’s house, Robin & Brett Elliott at a date to be determined.
If you would like to make a donation to contribute a flower or plant to be planted in the garden, please contact Robin Elliott.

I mainly remember Peggy coming over to Willaine's, where I met her. She was very nice and I enjoyed visiting with her. I know things were probably harder on her than we can imagine, but while she was there, she was smiling. I know you will miss your mother, but you can now picture her as totally healed and definitely smiling.

You will never forget the love of a mother. Its a bond that is so strong. She will always appreciate all you did for her in her last years, she knew you were there for her until the end. It gave her peace to move on to heaven knowing you would be fine. The loss is one that you will never forget out, but its gets easier with time. Erase the last 8 years and think about all the fun times you had with her throughout life. She was a great and funny woman, I enjoyed each time I saw her many years ago, she always mad me laugh just like her daughter does!

Love,
Eric

I wish I had a chance to get to know Peggy as a young woman. By the time I met her she was already quite ill. I was, however, able to observe first hand her love of children and her enjoyment of music. I also enjoyed Robin's stories of Peggy's prankster parenting style. That spirit lives on in her children.

I remember hanging with Robin at her mom's house. And I remember her mom's huge cat. She loved that cat.! I remember sitting outside the hospital with Peggy while Robin was inside. Peggy was a strong women and she gave that to Robin also.
Losing your mom is one of the hardest thnigs you will ever have to do. But knowing that she is in heaven and in total peace is so reasuring.
Always remember that God knows.

I am sorry to read of your loss. Many have experienced the death of a loved one. In God's word the Bible, it speaks of a resurrection on earth at John 5:28,29- Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

Peggy was married to my brother and I really loved her. I am so sad to hear of her passing. I thought the world of her and all of her children. I have missed her for a long time and would very much like to reconnect with Kenny and Robin. My thoughts and prayers go out to them. I have only fond memories of Peggy, and of the whole family. My condolences.
