Memorial services for Mrs. Sharon Kay Fountain, age 80, of Houston, TX, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Beresford Funeral Service, Houston, TX. Mrs. Fountain passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Auberge Senior Living in Sugar Land TX.
Mrs. Fountain was born in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Fred P and Ester C Olsen Everson. She was a devoted wife to her late husband of 59 years, Robert Gerald Fountain and a beloved mother and friend to her daughters, family and friends.
Sharon was an accomplished painter and classical pianist performing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto #1 while competing in the Miss Austin Pageant. She was naturally athletic and loved water-skiing, snowmobiling, tennis, volleyball, skate-dancing and she was the one to beat in Twister. Sharon was a member of the Lord’s family and most recently a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma, TN. She enjoyed gardening, dogs, horses and all things family, art and nature.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Oliver Everson, LaVerne Palmer Everson and Beverly Conrad Everson. She is survived by her three daughters, Lisa (Manuel) Cervantez, Melissa (Paul) Collette, and Julie (Randy) Hood; eight grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
