Andrew Robert Stiefler
-

Andrew Robert Stiefler, age 32, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Spring, Texas, losing his battle with depression. He was born July, 26, 1988 in Houston, Texas to Kurt and Nancy Stiefler. He was a graduate of Klein Forest High School. He received an Associate Degree in Science from Lone Star College in 2009. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science, Computer Information Systems in 2017, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston. Andrew worked for Baker Hughes as a Machinist for 2 years. Upon graduating from U of H, he worked for AIG as a Network Engineer from July 2017 until his death.

Andrew had a ridiculous sense of humor, dry, witty and sometimes dark. He constantly made us laugh. He was adventurous and loved to try new foods, often venturing out to the newest restaurants to try the spiciest dishes he could find. Andy rescued feral cats. He trapped them, had them spayed and released them. He tamed them and made pets out of the neglected cats that other people ignored. He was truly a kind, compassionate soul.

Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Dorothy Stiefler. He is survived by his parents, Kurt and Nancy; his sister and brother-in-law, Nicole and Anthony Clarkson; his niece, Addison Clarkson, his biggest fan; grandparents, Jerry and Phyllis Guillott, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Andrew also had many friends and co-workers who will miss him greatly. Andrew was buried February 26, 2021 in a small ceremony at Resthaven Cemetery attended by close friends and family.

We will always work to keep Andy’s memory alive and we will miss him fiercely. If you or anyone you know is struggling with depression or mental health issues, please seek professional help including inpatient treatment. Andy was under a doctor’s care an there were no active signs that this was a possibility. Please check on your strong friends, especially during these difficult times and increased isolation.
