A Little Something About My Dad

My father was a simple man, he was not about many words but about actions.  He makes the saying "Actions speak louder than words" come short, he was all about showing you and helping you be the better YOU. He was very handsome, smart (engineer smart), handy, loving, and all the great qualities that are rare now in days.  He would give you his coat to protect you...he was SELFLESS.

When I was down, he would raise me up, when I was doubting myself - he will assure me I could do it! and when I made it happen, he was always there to let me know how proud of me he was.  I am who I am because of him...  He was always there for me, every step of the way, he was always holding my hand...

He was the best father I could ever ask for, He was an excellent husband to my mother, and an amazing grandfather to my son.

We were so blessed to have him in our lives. He was 74 years young when God called on him. And reunited him with my mother, his one and only true love and life partner.

One of his favorite songs is called "Mi Arbol y Yo" (My Tree and Me) by Alberto Cortez.  I asked him why it was his favorite and he said...listen to the words.  So, I listened to the words as he played the song, it's a beautiful song about life. It's about growing old, watching your life pass you by like a tree and its shade.  All phases of life, from being a young child to losing his innocence to adulthood. But the most important thing is to cherish the beautiful memories thru out your life and always remember....  "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take are breath away"

Please remember him as the vibrant, smart, loving, selfless, amazing, and handsome person that he was.

We love you daddy!!

Till we meet again. Your only daughter,
♥Ellie

Benito was one of the most honest, decent people I ever had the privilege to know.
His love for his family was beyond measure. He will certainly be sorely missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace sweet friend.

Tio Benito became my "adoptive" father (he didn't know it then) when I met Eleonor Juarez, and she became my best friend at the young age of twelve. Even at that age I knew there was something different and special about Tio Benito. He was a humble and quite man, but he was always present. He loved his family, and he accepted me. When you come from a broken home, it's easy to see the light in the darkness, and that is what he meant to me; he was a light of hope: I saw that he was a hard worker, a provider, a loving husband and a loving father. This had a positive influence in me. Unfortunately, time and distance kept me away, but the Juarez family holds a special place in my heart. Even though my heart aches right now; my Christian faith says we will see him again, and that brings joy to my heart. May you rest in peace Tio Benito.

You left beautiful memories to cherish you always had that special smile when you tried to slip a joke to see if I believed it. You are so special to the family, kind, and always happy. Loved the family gatherings at my dad's the barbecues, dancing in the back yard. You raised a wonderful kind daughter just like you.

Sr.Benito was the most committed Grandfather that we have had to pleasure of knowing. His only Grandson Jacob was his priority in life and greatest joy! I witnessed through the years at preschool and elementary school Grandpa waiting to pick up his Jacob and take him on adventure. We will miss Sr.Benito's bright smile and warm greetings. He was the empitiamy of what a Grandpa should be.....God blessed my family by knowing you!

I am saddened to learn of Benito’s passing. Although we had not seen our cousin in a few years he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and family member. I can still hear his voice and his laughter was contagious. I know that he will be missed by everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace and may God bless and comfort his family at this time of loss.
