David Edwin Barber
David Edwin Barber was born July 22, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Lester Edwin Barber and Dorothy Nell Thompson. David graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1959 and attended classes at Arlington State College while serving in the US Naval Reserves. He met Nancy Lou Hogan of Arlington, Texas, on February 14, 1966 and on October 7, 1966, David and Nancy were married. David received an honorable discharge from the Department of the Navy Naval
Reserves Manpower Center on December 14, 1966.
David Barber enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, CB radios and listening to his shortwave radios. He was a tender-hearted man who loved animals and became the owner of several dogs and cats throughout the years.
Those who knew David the most knew him to be an honest and tender-hearted man who loved God, his country and his family and friends.
David Edwin Barber passed into eternal glory on April 16, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Edwin and Dorothy Nell; daughter Jayna Richey; and son, Tod Edwin.
He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Nancy; two children (Daughter- Mischa Brinkmeyer and her husband, Tim. Son- Damon Barber and his wife, Myrna); Sister - Paula Richter and husband Roland; five grandchildren (Gracie and Lilly Barber, William Brinkmeyer, Rodney and Brooke Richey); and several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

Nancy,
Terry and I are very sorry for your loss. David was a very sweet man! Please know that you continue to be in our prayers. Although we can't make the funeral, we plan to be at the graveside on Saturday.
May God keep you near to HIS Comforting arms and give you His Peace!
