We will truly miss Brother Dennis. He was an encouragement to our family and we loved him very much. Prayers for his family.
Dennis Edward Maxson, 61, of Houston, Texas, passed away January 22, 2016 at the Regent Care Facility in Kingwood, Texas after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 29, 1954, in Celina, Collin County, Texas, the youngest child of Claud Lee and Winnie Juanita (Francis) Maxson.
Dennis attended early school in Prosper and transferred to the Celina, Texas school system in 1967. He graduated salutatorian of his senior class in Celina in May of 1972. Dennis entered Texas A&M University after High School graduation and worked with Otis Engineering Corporation in a Co-op employment while he was attending the university. He continually received a “distinguished student” designation while attending there. In 1977, he graduated from A&M University magna cum laude with a degree in mechanical engineering.
After graduation, he started work with Atlantic Richfield Co. (Arco Oil and Gas) in Houston and Midland, Texas as an operations and reservoir engineer. During all of Dennis’s working years, he especially thrived in the church work he was able to do. He was diligent and willing to teach others in understanding the Word of God.
