Alfred Derrel Fuston was born on April 11, 1946 in Matador, Texas to Hazel Lea Twilla and T.R. Fuston and left this life on April 15, 2019 at the age of 73. Derrel lived his young life in Turkey, Texas. As a young man he played football and ran track for Turkey High School. He met the love of his life during his time at Turkey High, Caroll Beth Cotten. They married on December 7, 1964 and welcomed their first daughter, Anna Lynette soon after. Derrel held many jobs as he began their young family finally settling in Houston, Texas in 1973.
his family to Dallas, Texas where their family grew by two. Their second daughter, Kristi Jean was born with Heather Dawn filling in the final spot of their family.
Derrel was a well respected Data Analyst for several companies over the years and made the decision to fully retire in 2015.
He enjoyed fishing with his friends and grandsons and propagating his plentiful garden to share with his family.
Derrel is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Caroll, their three daughters, Anna Lynette Fuston of Houston, TX., Kristi Witt and her husband Lawrence of Cypress, TX., and Heather Kendrick of Magnolia, TX. He was a loving Grandfather to Cody Marek and his wife Heather, Cameron Marek and Kristy Fulwood, Morgan Witt, Peyton Witt, and Hayden Kendrick. Derrel had the joy of loving his great-grandchildren, Carson Marek, and Wyatt Marek.
He is also survived by many loving brothers and sisters, Rick and Sandy Fuston of Turkey, TX., Sharon and Tom Manus of North Carolina, David and Nancy Fuston of Childress, TX., Brenda Seymour of Turkey, TX., Peggy and Dennis Irby of Rockwall, TX., and Hal Fuston of Turkey, TX.,
He is preceded in death by his parents TR and Hazel as well as his brother Joe Fuston.
