Eugene Gromek, 79, of Tomball Texas, went to be with the Lord on Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022.
Eugene was born on November 12, 1942, to William and Sophia Gromek (nee Kiriaka) in the town of Rogozynek, Poland. Eugene had five siblings, Stella, Edward, Maria, William, and Helen. Stella the oldest, William and Helen the youngest remain with us.
Eugene has two sons and four grandchildren. Andrew and Donna Gromek, their children Christopher and Justin from Magnolia Texas. Richard and Amy Gromek, their children
Amanda and Nathanial from Lisbon Connecticut.
Eugene came to this country in the early sixties with his parents and eventually settled in the town of Hartford Connecticut where he married and had his two sons. In the mid-seventies he felt his “gypsy” type spirit calling him to the warm Texas air, so he left everything he knew again and became the first one in the family to move to Texas. Here in Texas is where he taught his boys how to hunt, fish, crab, enjoy camping, family and the beach. Many other valuable life lessons he taught his boys, among them are how not to be afraid of working with your hands and doing it yourself.
You will be sorely missed by those who loved you and saw passed that hard shell of yours. Save a place for us around that great banqueting table Dad. Until we meet again.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11am at Klein Memorial Park - Pinehurst.
