In Memory of
Joseph Christopher Partin
-

Joseph Christopher Partin, son of Dorothy and Charles Partin, passed away January 17, 2021 after a brief illness on his father’s 100th birthday.

Joe was born on November 27, 1957 in Houston, Texas.  He attended St. Rose of Lima Parochial School, Black Junior High, and St. Thomas High School from 1972 – 1976.  He also attended Stephen F. Austin State College for two years studying forestry.

The family moved from Houston to Brenham, Texas, in 1978, and Joe began his career at Magnetic Instruments, where his focus was quality control.  He made many lasting friendships while at MIC.  Joe had many interests that encompassed his many talents.  He was a carpenter craftsman, and he will be remembered for the many years that he offered his family unique, handmade, wooden toys at Christmas.  Joe also had a love of trains, probably reinforced from family trips to Colorado to ride the Denver Rio Grande Railroad through the mountains.  Joe’s interest in astronomy led him to build his own observatory.  His interest in flying was the impetus for him to take flying lessons.  Sailing, duck hunting, shooting were other interests that Joe enjoyed.  The culmination of these many talents and interests were expressed in his very original, and published, poetry.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Charles Partin, his sister and brother-in-law, Denise and James Novakoski.

Joe is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Julie and Nick Roccaforte, sister and brother- in -law Diane and Gary Giuffre, sister Patty Vandever, brother and sister-in- law, David and Inell Partin, and sister and brother- in-law Renee and Fred Lauckner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Visitation will be 10:00 am January 25, 2021, followed by Rosary and funeral Mass at 11:00 at St. Jude Shrine, 3103 North Main Street, in Stafford, Texas.  Burial will be at 2 pm at Calvary Cemetery, Brenham, Texas.
