
Lewis Floyd Godwin, Jr., 55, passed away on April 17, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He was born on October 23, 1955 to Lewis & Hermie Mae Godwin in Atmore, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Kristin; three daughters, Lori, Leslie, and Sarah; step-children, Angelica and Zion; one sister, Debbie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His motorcycle was a 2001 Road King named Lucille and he was a lifetime Harley
He was awarded a special plaque for helping a police officer in Temple during an altercation, saving the officer's life.
After serving in the U.S. Army infantry, he became a master plumber. He owned Town & Country plumbing in Temple, Texas before moving back to Houston where he was a plumbing manager for AMS and retired in 2010.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church (800 Brooks Street, Sugar Land, TX 77478).

Lewis Floyd Godwin, Jr., 55, passed away on April 17, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He was born on October 23, 1955 to Lewis & Hermie Mae Godwin in Atmore, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Kristin; three daughters, Lori, Leslie, and Sarah; step-children, Angelica and Zion; one sister, Debbie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Davidson club member. He was extremely handy and crafty with metalwork and leather-work. He made a paperweight with the State of Texas emblem. He really loved animals and he was very talented with computers. He built his own radiator cooling system for his computer. Some people called him "Screwie Lewie".
