With deepest sorrow, we announce that Richard T. Valverde, age 80, was called home on March 2, 2020. He was born in Houston, Texas on July 26, 1939 to Miguel and Guadalupe Valverde.
A lifelong resident of Texas, he proudly worked in the offshore oil industry for 55 years. Richard had a passion for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Guadalupe Valverde; brothers: Mike, Oscar, Joe, Robert, James, Ernest, Alfred; sister: Rebecca Hernandez.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Valverde; brothers: Gilbert (Sokie), Edward (Santos), sister Helen Garcia; sisters-in-law: Irene, Lupe, Juana; daughters: Marie Valverde of Buford, GA, Lisa A. Wright (Glen) of Cypress, Tx; grandchildren: Colin, Pilar, and Christian; Great-grandchild: Samuel and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
To Michael, Lajuana, Bon, and Lady T of the Humphrey Personal Care Home, Lisa and Marie would like to extend a special “Thank you” for taking amazing care of our father in his final journey of life.
