Robert Carl Sanchez

I thank God for the life of my dear friend Robert, 15 years is far too short, but how joyful that eternity will never end. Friendship transcends death. Memories made will never be forgotten and created a lasting impression on those Robert left behind. Everyone became a better person for having such a wonderful, kind friend. Saying goodbye isn't for us as believers. Instead, I will say that I look forward to seeing my friend Robert again, each time I am reminded of him through a phrase, a joke, even a moment while teaching. These are the things that will keep us close despite death.

Robert and I often spoke of our families, faith, our hopes, and desires for our life on beyond this world. We are comforted by our shared faith and love for our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Robert was ridiculously happy in life, so let us celebrate that life rather than weep over death--for death is only but a moment in time. We await to see him again on Resurrection Morning when Jesus bursts through the clouds of glory to wake him up to be with Him forevermore, for all eternity.

Until then my dear friend, I'll see you at our savior's side & we shall all eat from the Tree of Life together. Thank you, we love you, God bless. <3

I've just gotten to know Robert this school year going to his classroom more then I wanted to LOL! Both of us arriving at school/work at the same time. To Mr. Sanchez family.. I am a former student at Cypress Lakes and I would like to extend my deep water and sincerest condolences. Mr. Sanchez left such a great impact on me during my time in high school. I battled with many internal things such as depression and anxiety in high school and Mr. Sanchez classroom was a place I could escape and it felt safe. We would talk about God while he tutored me in math. He was one of the only people who could help me to understand math. He would often joke about me becoming a math teacher (he recognized how much I disliked math). This weekend I will be graduating from nursing school and I can’t help but to dedicate this graduation to Mr. Sanchez who was the angel God sent to help me get through high school. My heart is heavy but I am so grateful to have known such an honorable man. Mr. Sanchez, you will certainly be missed but your legacy will forever live on through your beautiful children and family. Thank you for everything Mr. Sanchez

He was a great teacher he truly pushed me and even though at the time it was so annoying I know he cared for us and I really wish i could thank him. He said he was going to get us an A for his class so in honor of him I will do so.I am so sorry for your loss

Rob was truly a man who enjoyed life. We knew him through school and scouting. Rob looked out for my boys in school and in scouting. He made sure I knew when they were struggling in math or slacking off in scouting. He pushed them to realize they COULD do more. He took my son Patrick on as a fishing buddy, too! They both loved to fish! He had the BEST SMILE and always appeared jovial! We miss him. I hope the legacy he left behind will always be remembered.

Dear Mary, kids and family,
Just want to let you know you all have an amazing husband, father and friend. I've grown to know Robert for the past 6 years as a brother in Christ and I will miss his delightful, happy smile. I'll miss all our in depth conversations that we had in Rowena's classroom during lunch and teacher workdays. I'll miss his Christ like spirt and open heart to the things of God. We learned a lot from him. We appreciate you sharing him with us. God Bless,

Robert was a man who was truly devoted to his faith and his family. He made a positive impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. He was our son’s Den Leader in our neighborhood Cub Scout Troop. Although it was like herding cats at times, he led many meetings and camp outs with the patience of a saint. He also tutored our son as well as many other students in math over the years again with his kind smile and patient manner. More recently, he was our son’s confirmation sponsor at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. I am certain Robert touched many lives as a teacher with the same patience and kindness that was his trademark. Rest In Peace, dear friend. You will be truly missed. You will forever live on in the hearts of your loving family and friends.

i only have the chance to talk to mr sanchez couple of times and the last time i talk to him was about some geometry questions he help me whit he was such a great teacher and such a great presone no i know he is in a resting place looking for all of us he and angle that will always live in our memories and will always be part of cy lakes high school mr sanchez we will miss you forever rest in peace

Robert was a wonderful Christian and a master teacher. He walked out his faith in Jesus Christ every day and affected so many lives in a positive way because he saw each person as a child of God. As a colleague, I witnessed the peace and joy he possessed and shared. He will be missed and may God bless his soul and give comfort to his family.

Dear former Neighbors in Deerfield Village,
We are heartbroken to hear of the loss of Rob. We have happy memories of the kids growing up and playing together there. Ya'll were blessed with a wonderful husband and Father and we know you are believing you will see Rob in Heaven.
I trust God to bring you comfort and peace during this terrible time. But you will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

Rob tutored both our sons, John and Rick for several years. I was amazed how he could tutor both boys at the same time! Rob tutored Rick for the longest time--from middle school through his Junior year in high school. Rob especially helped Rick during his Sophomore year when Rick took both Geometry and Algebra II. With Rob's help, Rick was able to achieve his goals of moving into the Honor's class for Pre-Calculus and taking Calculus his Senior year. Rick could not have achieved those goals without Rob. He made Rick much better prepared for majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to Rob's gift of teaching math, Rob always treated the boys (and myself) with such love and respect. Rob's legacy continues through your family and many other families, including ours. We are blessed to have known him. Prayers and love to you!

Robert was a lifetime Best friend of mine and also was Best Man for us at our Wedding approximately 33 years ago. I have been his childhood friend for over 50 years as we met as Neighbors. Robert & I spent so much time together playing football as kids, fishing, attending school functions, going to Bible class as young adults, etc…AND he introduced me to Patty (who was Elaine’s friend in College at the time) and I soon married. I have become the person I am because of Robert and the Sanchez family (as they were always an extension of our family). Robert and I spent little time together after he married and moved to Houston but like now…I know I will see him again soon (as HIS faith in our Creator) convinced me this is merely part of the life process leading to Everlasting Life! Rest In Peace our Beloved friend and Brother and our Deepest Condolences to The Sanchez family…

Many knew him as Rob or Robert but I knew him as Mr. Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was my teacher last year and he was always a great teacher , he always went the extra mile for every single student. He would make sure his students were okay when they were having a rough day. He took time out of class to make sure his students understood his teaching. He would always make jokes and say things that would brighten up my day. I always looked forward to his class a lot and I have many memories of his class , but it wasn't until this year where I grew a lot closer to Mr. Sanchez , often I would come and stay in his class for lunch. Every single time I was there he would offer me some of his lunch. We would talk about things we shared in common like fishing and sports. I remember the last conversation I had with him , we were talking about basketball and how we could play it with our friends all day and just have fun. I remember when I showed him pictures of different foods I made and one of them were chicken wings and french fries. He told me "One day you need to make some and bring them to me to try." Unfortunately I never had the chance to make them for him. I also remember telling him that when I get older I want to open up my own restaurant and he told me "You better invite me when and let me eat for free." I have many more memories of Mr. Sanchez and I could go on and on about how important he was to me , but I would like to end it here. I aspire to be the man Mr. Sanchez was. His care for his students and positivity is unmatched. I am really glad I got the chance to know Mr. Sanchez and may God bless him and his family.
