Sally Ann Hall Stringer

Sally Ann Hall Stringer went to her new promoted address in the presence of the Lord on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 with her daughter by her side.

Sally was born in Muscatine, Iowa on November 12^th, 1930 to John and Lucille Hall and her beloved older brother, John Hall, Jr.  She attended St. Matthias High School.  She was the church organist there, and started every day, very early before high school classes at the organ, providing worship music for mass.  Sometimes at rehearsal, if she was all alone in the huge, beautiful cathedral, she would turn up the volume of the massive pipe organ and get the long hanging chandeliers swinging.  She married Charles David Willey right out of high school.  She then simultaneously helped her husband with his college classes, and tended to their growing family.

She had 3 sons and one daughter, James Hall (deceased 1999), Stephen Willey, in Arlington, TX, Daniel Craig Willey (deceased in 1980), and Ann Wynn, of Katy, TX.  She is survived by 7 grandchildren: Steve’s sons David, John, Mark and Drew Willey, Dan’s son Brian Willey, and Ann’s daughters, Katie and Natalie Nguyen.  Nothing gave Sally more joy than spending time with her grandchildren.  Even in her last days, the mention of their names, and presence of her granddaughters would cause her eyes to light up like nothing else.  What a blessing they were to her heart! 

Sally, her husband, and 3 sons moved to Dallas/Richardson, TX in 1957.  There, Sally continued to devote her life to her family.  Her baking skills were legendary, and she was often featured in The Richardson Daily News with baking recipes and honors.  Sally was one of Mary Kays very first beauty consultants, and attended sales meetings with Mary Kay herself.  She was also a piano teacher for many years, and helped found the Richardson Music Teachers Association.  She became single in 1969, two years after her daughter Ann was born.  At that time, she studied to become an Electrologist (permanent hair removal), and opened The Electrolysis Clinic.  She excelled and soon became the most highly respected electrologist in North Dallas, being the primary one to whom dermatologists referred their patients for almost 30 years.

She married Robert Stringer in 1979.  They were married until he passed away in 1989. 

She continued to live in Richardson, TX until her health made it necessary to move to Katy, TX in 2003, to be closer to her daughter.  She resided in Katy, in the loving care of Ann and her granddaughters, until the Lord called her home at the age of 90, on April 24^th, 2021.  In the last week of her life, the only words she was able to speak were “I love you”.  There are no better words to be left with.  We are truly blessed to be able to say, now and forever more, “We love you too, Mom/Grandma”.  And so thankful she is forever rejoicing with the Lord.  To God be the Glory!
