Stephen spent the final decade of his nearly 50-year professional career at Powell Electrical Systems, where he served as a Training Instructor. In this role, he was highly respected for his deep technical knowledge, strong work ethic, and commitment to sharing his expertise with others.
Stephen had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, having begun riding at the age of eight. He was a devoted fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and took great pride in working on them—adding lights, sound systems, and fine-tuning their performance—as much as he enjoyed riding them. A memorable motorcycle trip was a post-retirement ride in 2024 to Sturgis, South Dakota, where he visited many national landmarks during the three-week round-trip journey. His fascination with mechanical and electrical systems extended beyond motorcycles and evolved into a passion for radio-controlled aircraft. Over the years, he became deeply involved with RC airplanes, later expanding his interests to RC helicopters and RC boats. Whether full-sized or miniature, Stephen loved understanding how things worked and making them work better.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Karen Ann Moore; his son, Matthew Cash Moore, and daughter-in-law, Annabel Jaclyn Moore; and his three grandchildren, Cash, Everett, and Isabel, who brought him great pride and joy. He is also survived by extended family members, including relatives, friends, and members of the motorcycle riding community.
In accordance with Stephen’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be scheduled in the coming months. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later time.
