In Memory of
Victory Chinwendu Osuji
-

Victory Osuji was born on May 27th, 2003 to the family of Rev. Chris Osuji and Late Mrs. Rosemary Chinyere Osuji of Okwu, Ikeduru, Imo State, Nigeria.

He had his primary school education in Abia, Nigeria.  He joined his parents Rev. Chris Osuji and Rev. Mrs. Lola Osuji in the United States of America in 2015.  He attended David Crockett Middle School in Grand Mission and completed his high school diploma at George Bush High School in 2021.  He went on to study Wind Power Technology at Miat College of Technology and graduated in 2023.

Victory accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He loved God and was a gifted singer and instrumentalist.  He served in the Golden Scripture Ministry as a music minister under the leadership of his parents.

Victory was a loving son, humble, obedient, God fearing, hard-working, kind-hearted, generous, and was always smiling.  He loved the things of God and had an admiration of nature.  He loved to take photographs/videos of nature and events.  He loved to play his instruments and sing praise and worship to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Victory loved his family and was pleasant to be around.

Victory departed to be with his Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, on June 19th, 2025 when he tragically drowned in Lake Pueblo, Colorado.  Our hearts bleed for the loss of our dear son, who had so much to give to his family, the church and his generation.  We hurt and we have questions but we take Solace in the word of 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Dearest son, you were unique in all your ways.  Only God can fill the void created by your departure.  We love you and always will.  Rest on in peace at the bosom of your Master, Jesus Christ 'til we meet at His Feet to part to more.

Victory Chinwendu Osuji, a child like no other, a son with a golden heart.  You loved, wholeheartedly without a speckle. You remain in our hearts.

Rest on!  Beloved!  Rest on!!  Good night.   'Till we meet again.

I still can't believe you're gone. I never thought our conversation on Wednesday and Thursday would be our last. Given your young age and the circumstances of your passing, my heart is broken and wounded. Though I cannot question the ways of the Almighty, I take solace in the belief that you've found eternal peace. May your soul rest in the loving arms of God, where lake , pain and sorrow cannot reach. You will forever remain in my heart. Rest in peace, my Son.

In loving memory of Victory Osuji, a young man whose gentle lifestyle was a living testimony of grace.

In a world full of distractions, he chose stillness with God. In moments that tested character, he chose Christlike courage. His devotion was quiet but unwavering; his faith, not just spoken—but evident through every act of joyful commitment.

He was a great example to many—a guide whose glow pointed not to himself, but always upward. His presence brought comfort, smiles, and the kind of love that made people feel just a little closer to heaven. His loss is deeply felt. But we know he rests in the arms of the Savior he cherished so much. And while grief lingers, so too does the legacy of his devotion.

May his gentle soul rest in peace

Tribute to our Beloved.
Chiwendu, as we as a family call you, your demise was a silver bullet, that wrecked our hearts and has left us impaled with uncontrollably tears. We for sure know that death came fiercely upon you from birth and you fought, declaring to death "Not this day". On this note you were named 'Victory Chiwendu". You were barely admitted in the hospital, how could it be that death snatched you away. If you had the chance to fight we believe that you would still come out victorious but who are we to question God, for indeeed there's a time to everything, a time to be born and time to die. For we never knew that your time was quite short lived, leaving us in great shock. (1 Corinthians 15:55 KJV) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Regardless our consolation is in Christ that on the Resurrection morning we shall meet to path no more. Sleep on Chiwendu, sleep Victory Osuji, till we meet again.
