Violeta Gutierrez was born in Guatemala on July 4, 1969. She was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 27, 2020. Those that knew her called her by her middle name, Aracely.
Aracely left her home-country at the age of 15 in the pursuit of a better life. She lived in Houston for the rest of her life. She had 3 children, Alisson, Luis, and Madeley. She was devoted in raising her three children as a single mother and working a full-time job.
One of the things that stood out about Aracely was her work ethic. She had such a thrive to succeed and have a better life. She never made excuses and made necessary sacrifices to meet the needs of her family. She quit her job in 2001 and became successful providing house-cleaning services.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Adrian, Ava and Grace who knew her as “abuela”. She was very gentle and loving towards her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting them almost every weekend. Aracely loved spending time with her dog Foxy, who was like a 4th child to her. She enjoyed driving and, in particular, taking road trips to visit her son, Luis.
Aracely was self-giving when it came to the needs of others. She would be willing to give the clothes off her back and never ask for anything in return. Her sense of humor, her caring heart, her famous dishes during the holidays, among many other things will be greatly missed. Aracely leaves a great void in her family’s lives but, they rejoice in knowing she is in a better place, rejoicing in Heaven.
A service will be held at Beresford Funeral Service on Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 10am to 11am. A graveside service will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens.
