Beatrice “Bea” Kay Johnson, 70, of Rosenberg, Texas, passed into the presence of our Lord Jesus, January 28, 2023. Bea is preceded in death by her parents: Woodrow Alexander Lake, Senior, and Cecelia Rosalie Gorney Lake, her brother: Woodrow “Woody” Lake, Jr., and sisters: Carol Winkler and Doris Havemann.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Elmer Johnson, III, children: Jeannie Crook and her husband Keith, Jill Pieper and her husband Neil, her son: Elmer “Bubba” Johnson, IV, her grandchildren: Rian Crook, Tristin
Pieper and Gage Pieper, her sisters: Betty Nesbit, Mary Pawlak, Erline Roig and her husband Sterling, her brother: Robert “Bobby” Lake, and sister-in-law: Kay Sepulvado along with many other relatives and friends.
Bea always held out open arms to friends and family, adopting additional “children” along the way (You know who you are). The love she had for all of us will continue into eternity. She was a hard worker from a young age and carried with her patience and kindness. Bea’s love for the Lord was evident to all around her. Her smile and infectious laugh would put a smile on your face. Her encouragement would keep you going, providing that little bit of strength you needed to keep going. She will be sorely missed.
Services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Carmel Church, 12412 TX-36, Needville, TX 77461.
Visitation will be from 12-1pm and the Celebration of Life will begin at 1pm.
Burial will follow at Needville Public Cemetery, 11714 Needville Fairchilds Rd, Needville, TX 77461.
