I have known Bettye thought Cafe Adobe for a very long time. Although we had some differences of opinions, she was a great Lady and I enjoyed knowing her.

She was so attached to all her great, great nieces and nephews as well as Cheryl and her great nieces.

She always enjoyed the children - they gave her great pleasure.

The phones started ringing in my office and I forgot to add a couple of things to my tribute which I wrote a few moments ago. First of all, I meant to say I have known Bettye through (not thought) Cafe Adobe.

Secondly, sorry I will not be able to attend the funeral but I could not get anyone to fill in for me at the office.

Cheryl, you may remember me, I used to sit by Bettye at the downstairs bar. Later I started going to the upstairs bar.

I have known Bettye Lambert since 1990 when I met her at the River Oaks. She and I would talk about several different subjects, but most of what she spoke about was how proud she was of her family and mentioned you, Cheryl more that once. Even after I left the RO we stayed in touch and spoke frequently over the phone. Bettye will be sorely missed. Her laughter and quips are still echoing in my mind.

I am sorry that I can not attend the funeral but you and your family are not out of my thoughts.

May God Bless you all. You have lost a jewel

I am so sorry to read about the loss of your dear loved one. During time like these we yearn to see our loved ones again. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."

Sincerely,

Pasion
