Ty married her sweetheart, John Bell, after meeting him while he was attending University of Texas. He went into a drugstore to buy popcorn, met
her, and after one date told his parents he was going to marry her. They married on October 18, 1958, and have spent 57 years loving each other. They have been blessed with three children – Kristin, Matt, and Leanne. Just as John and Ty had three children, they each followed in their footsteps and also have three children. John and Ty currently have nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
