Dorothy Luce Bradshaw, 93, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2018, in Asheville, North Carolina. She was born in Quincy, MA on February 19, 1925, to Chauncey and Asenath Luce.
Dorothy is survived by her son Ralph Bradshaw, and his wife Deborah, her son, Grant Bradshaw, and his wife Lisa, and her daughter, Diane Bradshaw Dinkins, and her husband, Kim. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Zimbone and Marjorie Owler, as well as 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bradshaw, her parents, her sister Priscilla Burke and her great grandson, Byron Bradshaw, Jr.
For most of her married life she devoted her time to raising her three children. She was active in her community, as well as her church. For many years she was a member of Houston's First Baptist, the Women's Club of Houston, and numerous books clubs. She was a voracious reader and loved music, painting, playing bridge, traveling, doing needlework and participating in Bible studies. Dorothy was a very loving and caring person. She committed her life to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to her family and to her many close friends. She will be buried with her husband at Houston National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 21, at 11:00 in the chapel at the cemetery.
