In Memory of
Isaiah Israel Nduku
-

Isaiah Israel Nduku was born May 22, 2001 at West Houston Hospital in Houston TX to Lucky Nduku and Enita Odofin. Isaiah was raised by Kayode Odofin after his mother remarried in 2014. His father Kayode makes his living as a Fashion Designer and Entrepreneur, while his mother Enita is an Accountant and Entrepreneur in Houston TX. Isaiah has four sisters, Helen Nduku, Damilola Odofin, Tomiloba Odofin, and Gbemisola Odofin. Isaiah has one brother, David Nduku.

Isaiah attended YES Prep West High School where he tutored other students in English and Math. Isaiah earned 2nd place nationally with his school’s Debate team in 2018 at Washington DC during the Marshall-Brennan National MOOT Court Competition. Isaiah enjoyed playing American Football during high school recess and Soccer when younger in Elementary School. Isaiah always volunteered at Dominion International Center’s Child Department as a Check-In Attendant; he did this for at least three years. For two years, Isaiah volunteered to a Couples Organization named The Institute for Marriage and Family Affairs as a BBQ Cook during summer events and Check-In Attendant during Couples events.

At the age of 18 years, with full scholarship Isaiah got accepted into Lewis & Clarke College in Portland Oregon to study Computer Science for this Undergraduate studies and was hoping to attend this College’s Law Program starting in 2022. Isaiah trained himself to speak Spanish and Japanese fluently. From the age of 8, Isaiah trained himself how to build computers from start to finish and to write computer programs. For 2021 summer, Isaiah was hired to participate in an earthquake research study at Portland Oregon by one of his college professor; he found pure pleasure in this assignment and its purpose for humanity; he spoke about this assignment all the time. Isaiah was a great helper to both of his grandfathers’ Gomez Ezewu and Michael Odofin. Isaiah will be sorely missed, and remembered as God’s Saint and Angel to his mother, father, sisters, grandfathers, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and many educators.

Services will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.   Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2426 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581)

My beloved Nephew, our dearest son. You continually make us proud, even now. The words and testimonies shared about your life has encouraged, inspired and uplifted us. Thank you for the legacy you built, the love you showed and the grace of God you displayed.
I am comforted because I know I will see you again at the resurrection.
Thank you for blessing us with your sweet presence. We will miss you sorely, Jayden will miss you most.
Love you always

Heaven has gained an incredibly beautiful man. Isaiah, you have really touched many lives positively in this short but very rich life you've spent with us here. I bless God for the life you lived, and especially for the more glorious life you're living now.

Beautiful soul. Always happy and smiling. He and my son were very close flriends. I am privy of Isaiah's diligence and hard work. Death is truly a thief. It has robbed us of a golden soul. May he rest in perfect peace

One of the best people I have ever met. An honest, smart, and caring person. Words can’t do it justice to describe who you were and how much you impacted my life. You were someone who was there when I was at my lowest. Someone who I respected and admired. I’ll miss you forever brother...

I did not believe it was possible to have a person of your nature and character walk the earth in this day and age. There was absolutely no guile I could find in you...none. Your presence enriched our lives; I only hope our lives enriched yours.

Isaiah was indeed a bright light and a wonderful collaborator for our research group at Lewis and Clark College. Such a tragic loss. My hopes and prayers for his family and friends are found in this song that has comforted me and my family in times of grief and parting. From my Christian beliefs I also offer it up for the eternal soul of Isaiah.

May the long time sun (or son) shine shine on you, all love surround you, and the clear light within you guide your way on.

Isaiah was so bright and with so much promise and potential - a critical thinker and thoughtful contributor. I remember how excited he was to attend Lewis & Clark. Extending my deepest sympathy to your family.

A true friend. Although I seemed to ignore all your wonderful advice, you still were there to support me at my lowest. You were someone I am proud to call friend. It pains me to know that you were working so hard for your future only for it to be taken away so suddenly. I will miss you Isaiah. Rest easy king...
