In Memory of
Lillemor Krosby
-

Lillemor Krosby, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 88.

Born in Sweden to Eric and Ulla Stampe. Lillemor lived a life full of love, adventure, and devotion to family. As a teenager, she had the unique honor of being confirmed alongside a Swedish princess, a testament to the remarkable experiences that shaped her early years.

She met her husband, Erling Krosby, in Los Angeles, California, and together they returned to Sweden to marry in 1962.  After their marriage, they had the pleasure of living in Stochholm, Paris and Oslo.  In 1981, they moved back to the United States, and decided to make Houston, Texas home.  There, they continued to raise their family and built a life filled with cherished memories.  Lillemor was an active member of Swedish Women's Educational Association in Houston serving as president among other positions.  Once the children got older, she went back to work as a research assistant at University of Texas Health Science Center.  In retirement she actively volunteered at Museum of Natural Science.  Besides being an expert seamstress, she had many interests including reading, knitting, tennis and spending time outdoors.

Lillemor was a devoted mother to her four children, Anita Cutrer, Tor, Bjorn and Leif Krosby.  She adored her grandchildren, Ryan and Erik Cutrer, Mary, Alex, Lars, Taylor, Brooke, Reese and Jens Krosby, all who brought immense joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erling, who passed away 14 years ago. Lillemor's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lillemor's legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Forest Park Westheimer at 3pm.
