In Memory of
Margie Forrest
-

Marjorie M. Forrest “Margie”, beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, passed from this life on January 10, 2014.

Survived by and mother of Susan, Judy & husband Joe, and Bobby. Grandmother of Jamie, Julie, and Heidi. Aunt of Donna, Libby, Priscilla and Alfred.

Margie enjoyed reading, word games, television game shows, old movies, and " goin' roamin' ” which meant going to garage sales / Walmart / Dollar Store. She also enjoyed her many visits to her hometown of Gretna, Louisiana to see family and friends.

Please rejoice with us in celebrating her life and that she is now with our Lord. She will be greatly missed by her family and good friends.

We wish to express gratitude for the care given to our mom at Legend Oaks and to all those who reached out to us with kind words, thoughts, and prayers.

Margie, my dear, precious, 'always supportive' friend, how deeply I will miss you.
We chatted, we talked, we shared, and we confided. We laughed with such abandon and we cried with each other to a shared depth of pain when either of us felt wounded.
We often spoke of God and our faith and pledged to pray for each other every night. We often wondered, "how do people without faith get through life?" "Unimaginable", we thought.
I have another question - how does anyone get through life without a friend like you? I believe it is "Incomprehensible".
Your presence in my life was God's way of looking out for me. He gave me the best. You were a truly holy gift, and you gave the best hugs ever. So, I close my eyes real tight and I can feel your hug and love surround me. That's how I will keep you with me until I run to you in heaven and you greet me with your warm and beautiful smile.
Love you,
Pat

In loving memory of Margie. We'll miss her funny stories and her great smile. She was devoted to her faith, family and friends. True to her Louisiana roots, she was a wonderful cook and made the best gumbo I've ever tasted. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this very difficult time.
