Dear Mary,
I am so sorry I never really had the pleasure of knowing you personally . But I feel I have known you through your wonderful son, Paul. He has brought so much joy and happiness to Liz and our Ledbetter family. I have never known a more generous and kind individual. At our last Lebetter reunion in CO I observed him interact with all the children. It was a joy to see! He definitely is a favorite uncle to them! I also learned more about his generous nature. The plans he had to go cook for many service personnel made me even more grateful to have him in our family. I know you were extremenly proud of him and we are too. You have left a wonderful heritage in him. I love him, Aunt Mena

I was deeply saddened to hear about Aunt Mary, all the way to Iraq. She was an amazing and incredible lady, one that I have always looked up to. You could always count on being on the phone with her for at least an hour, I loved it! I have always admired her in the strengths she has shown to me. She has had some really tough times in her life and always come out on top without a complaint. I can’t say enough nice things about her. I will always treasure the last time I got to see her in Feb before heading to Iraq. I will truly miss her.
