In Memory of
Pauline Peay
-

Pauline Peay, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, May 30, 2009. She was born in Winters, Texas to O.D. and Ada Dillingham and grew up in Abilene, Texas. In 1936, she graduated from Hardin-Simmons University where she was the President of the Cowgirl Organization. There she met Carl Peay, a football star and the love of her life. They married in 1937 and lived in Odessa for 5 years before moving to Midland where they spent the majority of their lives. Pauline and Carl celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before Carl died in 1988. She was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church of Midland, and was blessed to spend the past three years in Houston with her daughter, Charlotte. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Charlotte & husband George Richards; brother, Dick Dillingham; grandchildren, Mark Richards & wife Ingrid and Brian Richards; and great-grandchildren, Bailey, Madison, and Bryce Richards. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to her caregivers, Bonnie, Mildred, Mimi, Blanca, and the many caring individuals at the Buckingham and Memorial Hermann Hospice. The gift Pauline leaves for her family and friends is her legacy of faith and love ... the essence of a true Christian woman! For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to: Memorial Hermann Hospice, 8585 Commerce Park Dr., Houston, TX 77036, (713) 784-7520. After a private family burial on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, a Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at First Baptist Church chapel (2104 W Louisiana Ave, Midland, TX) at 11:00 a.m.

We love you guys and know how painful it is to let go of our loved ones but how joyous it is to know they are praising our God and Father face to face! Your mother was hands down my favorite "other mother" - many fun memories of our 2 moms and now we are them:)

To Charlotte, George, Mark and Brian,
We were so blessed to be able to share in the life of Pauline. She gave us so much with her love and thoughtfulness. She was of so much support to my mother and I will always be very grateful for their friendship. Pauline was an example to me and to our daughters. We will always hold her influence and her spirit in our hearts.
Love,
Nancy and Pat

During times like this we yearn to see our dead loved ones again. The Bible can bring some comfort. John 5:28,29 says,"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." Revelation 21:3,4 speak of a time when 'sickness and death will be no more'.
