In Memory of
Rachel Lauren Hunt
-

Rachel Lauren Hunt lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 3, just one day after her 23rd birthday. She was surrounded by her family who loved her deeply. She embraced life to its fullest to the very end with humor and grace knowing one day she would be with her Heavenly Father.

Rachel graduated from Texas A&M University this past August and was in the process of applying to nursing school. She was a proud Aggie and a former fish camp counselor. She was also a member of the rowing team and triathlon team. She was a lifelong member of Memorial Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing her flute during services. She also had success as a junior handler in dog shows and made many friends along the way.

She is survived by her parents Jim and Krista Hunt, brother Nathan Hunt, sister Charlotte Hunt, grandmother Lois Vaughn, her uncles and aunts including Dennis and Christine McGrath, Patricia Hunt, Pamela Heuer, Bob and Eunice Skehan, Tom and Suzanne Hunt, Tim and Tomalene Vaughn and numerous cousins.

Rachel always wanted to help others. Her last act of kindness was to give life to those in need by organ donation.

Rachel didn't realize how many people she touched through her brief life. I agonize thinking how many more there could have been once she became a nurse. She had a warped sense of humor, there were many laughs shared. I will miss her.

Love,
Leslie

Beautiful girl inside and out who quickly entered our hearts. So funny, smart, loving, fun. She would have made an outstanding nurse. Now truly an angel. Our prayers and thoughts are with her loving family.

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be.
So he wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, “come to me”.
You didn’t deserve what you went through, so he gave you rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best. (unknown)

We will miss your beautiful smile. The world is a sadder place.
