I've known Ray for more than 37 years. We first met as a result of my working at UCS, I worked with Ray to get his software product available at UCS. We worked together; he installing "Less Time" software and supporting his clients and I selling his product. We had a great working relationship. Later, I went on to work for Ray at Cincinnati Milacron. We had an excellent working relationship. Ray was smart, he understood Marketing, he was organized and above all, we had fun working together.

Through the years after Milacron, we remained friends. Occasionally, I would visit and Betty would prepare some healthy food for the both of us. (Betty was always finding ways to keep Ray healthy, organic foods long before they became fashionable, or thru exercise regiments). Ray and I on the other hand would chat solving the problems of the world, or figure some new business idea that could be successful but we'd never take the next step to implement it!

Our long winded chats about business opportunities, an occasional cigar and political discussions are the things I'll fondly miss. He was Betty's soul mate and a good man.
I will miss his emails.

Betty, please accept Olga's and my condolences.

Although Ray never worked directly for UCS, he was one of us, and working with him was a very great pleasure. I worked with Ray at a UCS customer site, 3D/International, in the early 80's. One of 3D/I's directors was the astronaut Walter Cunningham. Ray's TimeTable software was used to track the materials going into the construction of seven cities in Saudi Arabia. I was on a team that was working 24-hour shifts in order to compile and coordinate the information for a deadline shipment to Saudi Arabia each week. Ray could be called upon at any time to provide support and advice through his analysis of the critical path to get the information out on time. At this task, he was a genius. But Ray also had a very human side, a pleasant disposition, and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Everyone I knew at UCS respected and admired Ray for his untiring efforts, his superior intellect, and his charming personality. He will be missed by many in the industry, and my heart goes out to his family.

Dear Bettie, John & Ginger, Mary & Randy & Family,

It is indeed a loss to have Ray no longer physically with us. He most certainly remains alive in spirit in our hearts & minds. My thoughts & prayers are with all of you during a most difficult time.

I will always remember the incredible video he put together for the 50th Wedding Anniversary of my Parents! He was a man of many talents, with a large intellect & a very kind heart.

I am sorry that the man that was described by a few of you on this site was NOT the man that was my birth dad. That man was a mean and selfish and very hurtful person who chose to have an affair with his IBM secretary while my mom was pregnant with his child and he subsequently deserted his wife and 3 kids to run off with her and marry her (Bettie Sauer). He stole from his children's inheritance that was left to them by their paternal grandparents and started his own business and bought his lovely Del Monte Place townhome with the money from his children's trust fund left by their grandparents specifically for the children and in our name unfortunately, they left their son as the executor of the will not realizing he would actually lie and steal from his own children. He failed to pay child support on many occasions, he took his children and subjected them to questioning by his attorneys when they were younger, he refused to buy even a single box of Girl Scout cookies from me as a young scout about 9 yrs old but he turned around and bought an entire case of Girl Scout cookies from his brother's daughter, the list goes on and on and his kids were just that KIDS when our parents got divorced yet he took his issues out on us for YEARS and was a very negligent father. He NEVER remembered us with so much as a card on our birthdays, Christmas much less give us any gifts as kids - he lived less then 10 miles from our home yet he made no attempts to have a relationship with his own kids AFTER he was the one that ran off with his secretary and broke our family apart. I bet none of you knew that side of Ray but that is the real side and the side he showed his own flesh and blood for YEARS.....then in classic Ray and Bettie fashion they cheated their creditors out of their rightful money by hiding his assets and stocks, pension, retirement, business, and claiming there was nothing left to pay the bills. Yet Bettie today lives in a very posh Tanglewood retirement community - shameless yet you can't take it with you when you die.....
