Selma Wagner Dawson departed this life on August 8, 2011 at the age of 102. Selma was born in Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl G. and Martha Hilsberg Wagner and her nine siblings: Tillie, Jo, Lillian, Irene, Ruby, Gene, Carl, Clarence, and Millie.
A long time Houston resident, Selma was employed in the banking business and actively promoted Shaklee health products. Her three years in China in the 40's influenced her love for that country.
Selma was a long time member of Memorial Lutheran Church and is survived by 18 nephews and nieces, and several close friends.
We are greatly indebted to Selma's faithful pastoral caretaker, Rev. Victor Atsinger, as well as the wonderful staff at Clarewood House.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11:00 am, Memorial Lutheran Church, 5800 Westheimer, Houston 77057.
