Virginia Dorneman Tidrick

Virginia Dorneman Tidrick died August 15, 2008. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 19, 1919. She was 89 years old. She is survived by her son, Ronald Tannenbaum; her daughter-in-law, Connie Tannenbaum; her brother, Robert Dorneman; and two grandchildren: Sarah Gilligan, and Samuel Tannenbaum. Virginia is also survived by six step grandchildren and eleven step great-grandchildren, who called her Nanny. She had a long and interesting life. Virginia was a great beauty and was married five times. Virginia’s nickname was Robbie. It was given to her by a co-worker many years ago, because the co-worker thought she looked like a Robbie. The name stuck. Over the years, she had many modes of employment, including owning a beauty shop, and spending a number of years, on the high seas, working for Princess Cruises. Robbie was very creative and her family has a number of her oil paintings hanging on their walls. She will be missed.
