William Buchanan Taylor

William B. “Buck” Taylor, born August 31, 1919 in Prescott, Arkansas and died December 27, 2006 in Houston, Texas at age 87.
He was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his spouse of 58 years, Novie, his two sons Keith and Curt, and his sister Jewell Chapman, and his six grandchildren and one great grandchild, Marie, Steven, Curt, Beth, Brennan, Katy and Isaac.
He entered the Marine Corps in 1941, attaining the rank of Platoon Sergeant. He served aboard the cruiser the USS Honolulu for 3 years. His ship saw action in numerous campaigns including Guadalcanal, Bougainville, the Bismarcks, Saipan, Guam, Palau, and the Phillipines. The Honolulu was hit many times by torpedoes and received 8 battle stars for WWII service.
After the service, Buck spent his career in the wholesale florist business. He worked in the industry for several companies before opening his own business, Taylor Wholesale Florist in 1972 and the business continues today. Buck is widely known and respected in the floral industry.
Arrangements: There will be a memorial service at Oaks Presbyterian church where Buck and Novie were lifelong members. The service will be at 11:30am on Friday, January 5, 2007. The church is located at 1576 Chantilly Lane. Inquires to Suzy at 713-869-7481.

I am sorry to read of your loss. Many have experienced the death of a loved one. In God word, Jesus said, "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
