In Memory of
William Raymond Morales Jr. "Willie"
-

William Raymond Morales Junior was born August 5th, 1953, at Saint Mary's Infirmary to Mary Lou Morales and William R. Morales Sr. and left this world peacefully at his Castle surrounded by the incessant cries of his grandchildren playing in the pool out back just as a Don deserves, on October 23rd, 2024.

He goes to join the love of his life, Leda, who passed away all too soon in 1992. They met as the result of his love of horses and though their seasons together were short, she bore him three spirited and sometimes hardheaded sons, two of which survive him, William R. Morales III and Robert Wayne Morales. Sadly, his middle child, Joseph Michael Morales proceeded him in death twelve years before. His youngest son Robert later blessed him with his greatest joy in life, the aforementioned grandkids, Maxwell, Isabella and Toby.

Willie wore many different hats in life, son, husband, father, horseman and oilman. Everything he cared to attempt he excelled in.  He was a cosmic cowboy even before the term was even invented. He single-handedly raised his three boys alone while simultaneously building a trucking company that moved oilfield equipment to all four corners of this nation. Spanning over two decades, it included, at its height, nearly a hundred drivers and trucks. Before that as a teenager he and his favourite horse dominated the Quarter Horse world winning the title of overall Grand Champion Stallion at the Fatstock Show in the late 1960's. His accomplishments are too numerous to list here. However, the one last thing he did best was provide for the care of his mother until her last days passing at the age of ninety-one.

Please join his three remaining siblings Sharon Erisman, John Morales and eldest brother Charles Morales who says that he couldn't have bought a better brother, along with his sons and grandchildren in celebrating in a life well lived.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Visitation starting at 10am and the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30am.  The Burial will follow at 12:30pm at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
