Oh Lord what a great loss. I used to absolutely love to talk to her while waiting in line at the middle school waiting to pick up your grand daughter, we sometimes talked for almost an hour; her advice was priceless, her wisdom was endless and her repeating the Word of God was refreshing. She was the sweetest of the sweet, .

Your loss is great but try to turn your thoughts to joy thinking of the many years you gained having her unconditional love. Many of us aren't blessed enough to receive that kind of wonderful love.

There is no doubt in my mind that I am a better person for knowing her.

Our sincere sympathy to Mutt, Linda, Jimmy and their families. My memories of Nan are of a sweet person that loved her family and God. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother to Linda and Lindsay, respectively. As with so many of the Greatest Generation, she had so much wisdom and life experiences to share. A beautiful person on Earth and now a beautiful soul in God's kingdom. I feel so fortunate to have been able to be with her during her last few days. Rest in Peace, Nan.

God sent an angel to this earth,
I called you Mom who raised me from birth
You listened to me through laughter and tears,
and were there for me for so many years
Now what can I say?
For God has taken my angel away
The most giving woman I've ever known,
but now our Lord has called you home
A life eternal in His loving care,
by His grace one day I'll see you there
Goodbye for now, Mom, until we meet again;
My angel, my mother, and my best friend

I love and miss you so very much

What a wonderful women she was, I called her Mom as well. I spent years with the Bettis and Pedraza families. Nan would chase me around the apartment and the house in Sharpstown with a can of Lysol and a vacuum cleaner. Those were her two things in life she could not live without:-)I remember the countless times we spent at Burger King on Shepard and going to the Astro's games, what great memories. Nan gave me her beloved bird Bingo, we had it for years and years. She taught the parakeet to talk "Pretty Bird" and "Whatcha ya doing". She will be missed, love to her and the family. You will always be family.
