Happy Birthday my love. I miss you terribly.

Charles (Chuck) Henry Wegman was born in Holyoke, MA, on October 7, 1943 and passed away in Hospice in Houston on November 22, 2023, twenty days after suffering a bad fall while on his daily walk.
His early years were spent in East Longmeadow, MA, later moving to Columbus, OH, graduating from Upper Arlington High School. He then enlisted in the US Army where he served in Amberg, Germany for three years. He returned to Columbus and worked for Westinghouse while going to night school and earned a BS in Business from Franklin University. He then began his career at Texaco Refining and Marketing where he went from being a clerk in a distribution terminal to managing a territory of gas stations where he found hisniche in sales. He later received a promotion and transfer to Texaco Chemical (later Huntsman Corporation) as a sales manager and moved to Cincinnati, Cleveland, and ultimately to the company’s headquarters in Houston. In Houston he had various positions, including Market Manager, Surfactants Sales Manager, Gas Treating Manager, and Distributor Manager. He retired October 2001.
He truly enjoyed his work and managing people, making many friends in the office and across the US in his business travels. During one national sales meeting, a personality test was given which resulted in two graphs. He didn’t understand why his two graphs were exactly the same, while the two graphs of those around him differed. The instructor told him it meant “what you see is what you get!” In another national sales meeting a different personality test determined in which of twelve personality types the test takers fit. His result was “the lovable rogue,” and indeed he was.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Evert and Doris Wegman. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years, Judy, brother John, son Charles (Samantha), grandchildren Samantha and Charles, great-granddaughter Lillian Jane, nephew John, niece Anne, many in-laws, and so many other dear relatives and friends.
Special thanks to all the medical staff at Memorial Hermann TMC and Harbor Hospice.
His ashes will be scattered at a later date. “The lovable rogue” will be terribly missed.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
