Painted Sky
Beauty to my eye
Float your clouds before me
Take me for a ride.
Show me where the eagles fly.
High into the night.

I met Karen at Olivet Nazarene College in the fall of 1969 and immediately became friends. We pulled a lot of pranks and got into even more trouble together. One summer we took my van and went on a summer road trip to see this great country of ours. We ended up in Lubbock, Tx. and that was where Karen helped deliver my daughter in 1980. She has been my BFF for 45 years and we spent a month together at Christmas, my gift to her and her gift to me. She loved reading books written by Joyce Meyers and was a member of Lakewood Church. Her Christian witness was important to her and her greatest wish was to see Dustin and Jayson saved, securing their place in heaven. Graduating from a nursing college, she loved her job as a home health nurse, taking care of geriatric patients in their homes. Some became life long friends, such as Mama-Olivia Caradine. All who loved Karen will miss her and many will find something she would like and start to share with her on-line. About half way thru, realize she won't be reading it. Karen, I know Jesus was waiting for the Father to say, "Enough, Son, bring my daughter home." And He reached out His hand and walked beside her to her heavenly home. See you there, Babe. I love you!
