Saba Michel Saba

Saba Michel Saba, 83, passed away on September 1, 2020 in Sugar Land, Texas.   He was born in Cairo, Egypt on July 23, 1937 to Michel Saba & Alice Melhem (Moghabghab) Saba, who precede him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Vanda (Fouad) Saba; children, Paulette Yacoub & husband Medhat, Sylvia Saba & husband Shaun Followell, and Michael Saba & wife Muna; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Yacoub, Mariette Yacoub, Angeline Saba, and Christian Saba; brother, Karam Saba & wife Georgette; sisters, Rosette Mankarious, and Leila Mankarious; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church (11935 Bellfort Village Dr, Houston, TX 77031).  We will begin with the Rosary at 10:30, and mass at 11.  Burial will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

Saba and I were close friends, we were co-workers worked for Saudia Arabia Airlines office here in Houston. After his retirement we keep in touch asking for each other. During July I keep trying reaching him thru his phone, but no answer.

Yesterday, with great saddness, I came to know that my friend Saba passed away on 1st September, 2020.

I am honored and blessed to have known Saba as a best friend since 1991 . I am truly sorry for his loss and will be missed. He will never be forgotten.

My sencre condolences to his wife Vanda and the bereaved family. My tears are flowing for a friend.

May his soul rest in peace.
