In Memory of
Sandra Boyd Jeansonne
-

Sandra Boyd Jeansonne, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away suddenly at the age of 82 in Cypress, Texas, on July 3, 2025.   She was born in Urania, Louisiana on August 15, 1942.

She graduated from Northwestern University in Natchitoches, LA. with a B.S. in Nursing, and worked in various hospitals and also served as a School Nurse so she would have more time to spend with her family. After her son was grown, she worked as a private nurse caring for children with special needs.

She met and married Thaddeus Jeansonne in Shreveport, LA.  She lived in Shreveport, LA, Houston, TX, and retired in Spring, TX.  After her husband passed away, she moved in with Andre, Patricia and Tyler in Hempstead, TX for 14 years.

Sandra loved to cook! She would spend several days cooking all sorts of Christmas goodies that her and her husband would distribute to neighbors and friends.   She loved traveling, gardening, and most of all, spending time and spoiling her only grandson Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Boyd, her mother, Mavis Boyd, and her sister, Minnie Boyd.

She is survived by her only child, Andre Jeansonne, and his wife Patricia Jeansonne; her pride and joy, grandson, Tyler Joseph  Jeansonne; and her brother, James Ray Boyd & wife Mary, and their son Joey Boyd & wife, Brandye Boyd, and their 3 children, Blayze, Bran, and Breyle; also niece Sylvia Moore, and her son Josh Moore.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Sandra's name be made to the charity of your choice.
