To the family,
I was saddened to learn of Trevia's passing. We worked together restoring Evergreen Cemetery on Altic Street off Harrisburg Blvd. as an honorable resting place for our relatives. May the Lord bless the family with wonderful memories and know a reunion in Heaven awaits us all.

Sincerely,
Ruth Stoerkel

Trevia was a wonderful person. She was very knowledgeable on genealogy and of course cemeteries. She never forgot me, especially when I went to one of her talks and she asked everyone to shut off their cell phones. This was about 15 years ago and I just bought my phone the day before. I thought I shut it off, well of course, it happens.... The phone rang about 1 minute in her talk, it took about 2 minutes with everyone pushing buttons, finally, it was off. Trevia talk was back on. She will be missed and never forgotten.

Our beloved Trevia has passed from our midst and we are all so saddened by her passing. What a jewel she was. So many of us learned so much form this extraordinary lady. She was so gentle, kind, patient and oh, so knowledgeable. A real TREASURE to the Genealogy World. All of us will miss her greatly and our lives have been enriched by knowing her. Thank you, Trevia, for the memories, knowledge, training and guidance.

Trevia was a remarkable genealogist with a passion for history that inspired many of her colleagues on the Harris County Historical Commission. She was generous with her knowledge and readily gave credit to her colleagues. Here is an email she sent to all the members of the HCHC in 2016....
Trevia wrote-
"Well, ask and you might get what you want ... a list of the Vertifical Files at the Texas Room of the Houston Metropolitan Research Center was placed online Monday, June 20th
.An excellent resource for local and out-of-town researchers ... and HCHC researchers.
.Thanks to Houston Public Library staff member, Joanna "Jo" Collier, Senior Library Service Specialist, for getting this online .... ....
