
Alford "Freddie" Lopez Hernandez, aged 75, of Houston, TX, passed away at work on February 1, 2024, after a life richly lived and deeply cherished. Born on January 2, 1949, in Bryan, TX, to Betsy and Daniel Hernandez, Freddie was the vibrant heart of a large and loving family, being one of fourteen siblings.
Freddie dedicated many years of service as a jailer for the Austin County Sheriff's Office and as a security guard, roles through which he displayed his commitment to the safety and well-being of his community. A proud Texan through and through, Freddie's legacy is marked by his steadfast loyalty, dedication to his profession, and the profound love he held for his family and friends.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Vicenta Lopez and Daniel Hernandez. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his beloved wife, Emma Jean Hernandez; his children, Traci and Roland House, Jeffrey and Heather Hernandez; and a lineage that spans multiple generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery at 2:00pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor his memory and celebrate a life well-lived.
