In Memory of
Charles G. Foster Sr.
-

Charles G. Foster Sr., 86, of Alief, Texas passed away at home on Tuesday October 1, 2024, after bravely battling many recent health issues. He was born in Smyth Co., Virginia.

Chuck was preceded in death by his loving wife Jackie Foster and his parents, Roy and Kate Foster. He is now reunited with the love of his life, Jackie. He always carried the photos of Jackie in his wallet from the first night they met, until the day he died.

Pops, Dad, Daddykins, Gramps, Grampsmiester, Papaw, Chuck, and Glenn are just a few fond names he was known by. He was a character, whom many never forgot. He is survived by: his son Charles G. Foster, Jr. and wife Jackelin; his daughters Pamela Anderson, Sandra Beasley and husband Len, Michelle Foster and fiancé Nicholas LeBlanc; five awesome grandchildren Jennifer Blythe and husband Jordan, Samantha Breland and husband Lance, Katie Anderson, Trey Beasley and fiancé Emily Thompson, William Beasley; and three great grandchildren Kyleigh, Wyatt and Wytten Breland.
He was always ready to "hit the road,"  even talking his mother into signing his Navy papers at 17, leaving the mountains of Virginia for many adventures, crossing many states and countries, and finally settling in Houston in 1973. Packing up the kids for the best vacations, Chuck and Jackie would cross the country, west to east and north to south, more than one time with 8mm camera rolling all the while.

He was a hunter (even made it on a radio talk show), fisher, card shark, mechanic/tinkerer, entrepreneur, gardener. These are just a few of his talents. He loved sharing fruits, vegetables, seeds, clippings and graftings of all kinds. The seeds we are sharing with you today are from his Pride of Barbados (see back for growing details).
