I knew Gib almost from the first day I arrived in Houston in 1982. We became fast friends that lasted through thick and thin. Gib was very intelligent. If he didn't know something he would read up on it. I learned a great deal about many different topics from Gib. I always enjoyed his company. But the one thing that he enjoyed the most was fishing. We tried to go fishing every weekend. I saw Gib land a ten pound Bass once. That was a monster fish. I loved him and I will miss him. May God rest his soul.

Gib (Gip) was my brother,I was the only one that could
call him that. When I was born I was his worst nightmare, a little sister. He was mean to me everyday through my childhood. But all that meaness payed off after I graduated high school, we became the best of friends, we got along so well, that you wouldnt be able to imagine him being mean to me when I was little. I would call him every other day and he would always talk about that fishin' hole behind his house, he really did love fishing. He will be missed alot , cause not only did I loose a brother, I lost a best friend.

I have known Gib for almost 13 years. It's been 3 months since Gib's passing and much has transpired. Were it not for Gib, I would not be with the wonderful man I have grown to love so much, Gib's best friend King. King and Gib were two peas in a pod, and King misses him every day. Gib was a good person, a good soul. We were blessed to have him as a friend and we are blessed to have him as a guardian angel. Fly free now Gib, in paradise. You are greatly missed.

Gib was my husband of 17 years, my best friend, the one who knew me best, as he always said I was the one who knew him best. He was the love of my life. Here it is, 3 years later and time does not always heal, it just inserts and allows one to adjust to a totally different life. Gib always had a smile on his face, he was an incredibly affectionate and loving husband, friend and a wonderful father to our 2 girls. He was funny and smart, and I loved him unconditionally. He was the only person in my life, other than my immediate family, who I could count on. I write this about my husband because his heart was as big as the ocean. I will never forget, your girls and I will always keep your memory alive. I love you, Sweetheart.
