In Memory of
James Lee Felts "Frosty"
-

God’s good gift of creativity was confirmed on January 15, 1922 when he blessed Earth with James Lee “Frosty” Felts. Perhaps the big man upstairs was just showing off, imagine the smirk creep across his face when he created the man all men should dream to be. This man, a man whose hands were cleaned of dirt and grime from a long day’s work to hold the most precious treasures of life- his wife, his children, his grandchildren, the hand of a friend in need, the Bible and a tattered rope-, a man who placed his faith in God and encouraged others to do the same, a man who beautifully influenced those around him to pray when they were knocked down to their knees and be thankful each time they get up, a man whose pride laid in the house he built and the people who surrounded him. To round out this man, God tacked on a strong will, a great deal of passion that could not be shaken by argument, a big heart, a tendency to be mischievous-ever get a roll from him with the shape of a pointer finger poked into it?-, a sprinkle of imagination rushing through his veins that were wrapped in an undeniable thick skin, and topped him off with one hard head.

God’s good gift of eternity was confirmed on October 20, 2012 when he called James Lee “Frosty” Felts home to the love of his life, Gracie Felts. The gates of Heaven must have never been so ready to open for such a soul as when that reunion took place, as James also joined his mother, his father, his two brothers, and his sister, among a number other relatives and friends-not to mention pets he so carefully buried with children of the family. James spent his final days surrounded by family and friends and was able to die in his home, thanks to the continuous care of Memorial Herman Hospice.
