How long does a man live after all? A thousand days or only one?
One week or a few centuries? How long does a man spend living or dying?
And what do we mean when we say gone forever?

Adrift in such preoccupations, we seek clarification.
We can go to the philosophers but they will weary of our questions.
We can go to the clergymen and priests but they might be busy.
So, how long does a man live after all? And how much does he live while he lives?
We fret and ask so many questions - then when it comes to us
The answer is so simple after all.
A man lives for as long as we carry him inside us,
for as long as we carry the harvest of his dreams,
for as long as we ourselves live,
Holding memories in common, a man lives.

His wife of 22 years will carry his man's scent, his touch, his caring. His daughter and granddaughter will carry the weight of his love.
His mother will remember her 1st born.
His brother will cherish the frank conversations.
One friend will carry his agreements and arguments,
another will hum his favorite tunes by Syro Gyro,
another will still share his fears from his service to his country,
yet one will remember the taste of his good cooking.

And the days will pass with baffled faces, then the weeks, then the months, then there will be a day when no question is asked,
and the knots of grief will loosen in the stomach and the puffed faces will calm.
And on that day he will not have ceased but will have ceased to be separated by death.
How long does a man live after all?
A man lives so many different lengths of time in our heart.

Jack has donated his eyes and skin to The Gift of Life. He has continued to be the caring, devoted person he has been for 67 years. His donations will help 60 to 100 individuals.

Truly a Celebration of Life!

We just found each other on good old Facebook after not seeing each other or hearing from each other for a few years. It was so nice to see that sparkle in your eyes. Then as fast as we found each other, it's over. R.I.P. my Cousin.

To Sharon and the Early Family,
On behalf of Dodie, Rick,Corey and myself,we are deeply sadden by the early Transition of Jack. He was a great friend and "adopted Uncle". His life was described by the song" If I can help somebody, than my Living will not be in vain". His lagacy will live on in our hearts and minds forever.II Cor.5v8 says "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Jack is now in his Eternal home and we will see him again. To God be the Glory.

DAD - There are just too many great memories I have of you throughout your life together as father and daughter to mention. I'm so very grateful for the ALL times we have spent together laughing at each others corny jokes (you were the only one who got them), listening to great jazz music and the list goes on and on. Rest In Peace Dad. Love You Always, Michelle

If there was a prayer that would wipe our all tears,
If there was a prayer to assure Jack's spirit continuosly linked to each of us that he has touched,
If there was a prayer to keep in our minds the fun and laughter that Sharon and Jack conjured up and shared with others,
If there was a prayer to have us LOVE the way Sharon and Jack loved by example...pure...simple..committed,
If there was a prayer, THIS IS THAT PRAYER.
Love to the Family with all of my heart, Gaynell

Uncle Jacky,

You were one of the funniest, most joyful inspiring people in my life. We all loved and cared for you from your first trip to Mount Airy to now and for always.

You were more than an Uncle to my brother Tim and me. You were a true member of the family. You were a big brother, a life coach, a friend and the inspiration for so many jokes and hilarious stores. You truly brought so much joy to all the circles that you traveled in and to all the people that you touched. Plus you were my Best Man when I got married and as always you made that event something special with your brand of humor.

Jack you will be missed, you will never be forgotten but most of all, you will always be loved.
