In Memory of
Pamela A. Pfeiffer
-

Pamela Ann (Massey) Pfeiffer, 68, of ‪Houston Texas passed away quietly in her home on Sunday, March 6, 2016.

Born in Davenport, Iowa in 1947, Pamela and her family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1949. Pamela graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1964 and then Del Mar College in in 1966. Pamela married Allan Wayne Pfeiffer of Corpus Christi in 1967.

Pamela made her entry into the business world through banking. When the Pfeiffers moved to Houston in 1974, she joined Peoples Bank of Spring Branch. Pamela also worked for Sterling Bank until the onslaught of Parkinson's caused her to retire.

With her banking career behind her, Pamela was at liberty to pursue her love of textile arts and crafts.  Always a superb seamstress and designer of bridal gowns and fabulous costumes, Pam discovered that she had a passion for quilting.

As a member of the West Houston Quilter’s Guild, Pamela made countless quilts for charity. Quilt show competitions became the high point of her creative calendar.

“Love is a warm quilt,” was her unspoken motto. If you were blessed to receive one of Pamela's quilts, she made sure your personality and interests spoke through the design of your blanket.

Pam’s costume designs were legendary, amazing her friends and family with funny costumes, both elaborate and joyful.

Her attention to the finest details, made all of Pamela’s creations remarkable. If she agreed to make your wedding dress, you could be sure it would be perfect. Pamela’s bridal gowns were works of art.

Pamela loved singing, playing Rummikub and laughing with her family and friends.

Pamela loved her friends and they knew it. She was free with her time and support. As her friend, her kindness was a reflection of her Lord and Savior.

Our hearts rejoice in the full and certain knowledge that Pamela is at home, with all pain forgotten and all joy fulfilled, in the arms of Jesus.

Our beloved Pamela is survived by her husband, Allan Wayne Pfeiffer; her sister, Linda (Massey) Ferguson and brother-in-law Phillip Ferguson of Eagle Lake, TX; nieces Kim (Ferguson) Hartman, Connie (Massey) Hutzel, Elizabeth Ferguson, Jessie Pfeiffer, Periwinkle (Ferguson) Schuster, and Candace (Pfeiffer) Turner; nephews Clay Massey, Tracy Pfeiffer, Luke Pfeiffer and Scott Pfeiffer; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and godchildren; and countless friends.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Jane Massey and her brother Charlie Massey. Niece Melissa Ferguson and nephews Tim Pfeiffer and Phillip Ferguson II also predeceased her.

A memorial service celebrating Pamela’s life will take place ‪on March 29th at 2:00 PM at Bear Creek United Methodist Church. For those wishing to make a donation in Pamela’s honor, please consider OrphansUnlimited.org, the National Parkinson’s Foundation or The Linus Project.

Pamela was our friend for many years. We met during high school when our boyfriends/ future husbands were friends at Carroll HS. We had many wonderful times while dating. We actually lived just down the street from her mother for a couple of years. We were in each other's weddings and Pam and Alan signed on to be our son, Jeff's godparents We missed seeing them after they moved to New Mexico and us to Houston But I always counted Pam as a good friend and will miss knowing she has gone on to a better place Gayle and Ron Weir

My thoughts and prayers are with Pamela's family and friends. We can all take solace in that the measure of a life is not in its duration, but rather its donation and Pamela set a pretty high standard in that regard. Rest easy my friend, you have earned your reward. Thanks for all our wonderful memories you have left with me. I will never forget you!!!
