In Memory of
Patrick A. Bouillion
-

On October 25, 2015 the good Lord relieved Pat of his pain and suffering when he passed away at his home in Cypress, Texas after a lengthy illness brought on by his exposure to “agent orange”. Pat was born on August 10, 1949 in Abbeville, Louisiana and was 66 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents E.J. Bouillion and Louise Dubois Bouillion, brother E.J. (Sonny) Bouillion and sister MaryAnn Mata.

After finishing High School, Pat served his country in the United States Army, entering boot camp on August 25, 1969. Upon completing stateside training he was sent to Vietnam where he served proudly until his Honorable Discharge. During his tour of duty in Vietnam Pat received repeated exposure to a herbicide commonly known as “Agent Orange”. Little did he know then that it would ultimately lead to his death. Upon leaving the U.S. Army he went to work for Brown & Root - Halliburton where he remained a loyal employee for 38 years.

On January 26, 1979 he married the love of his life, Nancy Louise Moseley. They have one child, Christina Bouillion, and two grandchildren, Serena Patino and Kaelynn SanchezQuan. All of which have provided comfort and companionship during his lengthy illness. For the last several years Nancy has been his constant care giver enabling him to remain at home until his battle for life ended.

Pat is survived by his sister, Kathy Bouillion, brothers Emery Porter and Norman Bouillion.

Pat enjoyed life with his family and was an avid “Cajun Cook” and thoroughly enjoyed good food. He enjoyed fishing and camping and was a top notch small engine mechanic. Pat loved a good joke and had a memorable smile that will greatly be missed by all. He enjoyed and took great pride in building models and excelled in the most difficult of models. He continued his hobby until his debilitating condition prevented him from even holding a model.

The family thanks all that provided moral and spiritual support during Pat's illness. Graveside services and internment will be at the Houston National Cemetery on November 13, 2015 at 11:30am. Attendees should plan on meeting at 11:15am inside the front entrance off TC Jester, and line up in Lane 1.

"What moves through you is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, you may not understand why he left this earth so soon, or why he left before you were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, you begin to remember not that he just died, but that he lived. And that his life gave you memories too beautiful to ever forget. " ~Author Unknown~

Words can not begin to ease the pain but this poem helped me when I lost my Grandmother, I hope it helps you too.

GOD'S GARDEN
God looked around his garden,
And he found an empty place.
He looked upon the Earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on Earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered "peace be thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you;
The day God called you home.
